Who We Are

The Dalhousie Agricultural Students' Association (DASA) is an autonomous, non-partisan, registered not-for-profit student organization providing voice, leadership, and vision for students in agricultural disciplines.

 

DASA is led by an elected Executive Committee, accountable to an elected Student Representative Council (SRC), and an appointed Board of Directors comprising of former students, professors, and DASA executive from the Agricultural Campus. 

 

All Agricultural Campus students are members of DASA.

 

Our DASA Team and Student Representative Council are elected each year with the goal to improve the student experience on campus and advocate on behalf of students with campus administration.  

 

Our mission is as follows:

  1. To promote the social, economic, and cultural interests for the advancement of its members and others;
  2. To uphold the educational and extracurricular pursuits and general welfare of students free from discrimination in any form;
  3.  To enhance and maintain the quality of life for all students through respect and excellence;
  4. To acquire by way of grant, gift, purchase, bequest, devise, or otherwise, real and personal property and to use and apply such property to the realization of the objectives of the Society;
  5.  To buy, own, hold, lease, mortgage, sell and convey such real and personal property as may be necessary or desirable in the carrying out of the objectives of the Society;
  6. To act as the representative of students enrolled in an undergraduate or technology (diploma) program at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus, subject always to the rules, regulations and directives of the Dalhousie Student Union.
